About the event

This workshop is being held by Till Baumann and will explore different methods and ideas from Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed to stimulate critical, reflexive and productive engagement with socio-environment challenges. It will be held on Friday November 4th from 14:00-18:00 and Saturday November 5th from 10:00-18:00 within the HU Main building (Unter den Linden 6) and be held in English.

At the workshops, participants can experiment with tools and methods from the Theatre of the Oppressed at the interface of science, everyday experience and play. Of course, all will be focused on water. The goal is to potentially form a group of actors, collaborators and organisers who can create a performance inspired by the Theatre of the Oppressed which can operate in very different contexts - from schools in Marzahn to migrant associations in Moabit  The workshops will close with a phase of evaluation and reflection to develop the next steps and second part of the workshop. The second phase of workshops will take place Febuary 3-4, 2023 (please note, that continued participation is desired)

If you are interested in taking part or have any further questions, please get in touch with Pauline Münch (pauline.muench@hu-berlin.de) or RSVP through this site.
